Artgoopy is a goofy name created for my first art IG page during 2020. To be honest, I was never one to share much of my personal work, but with encouragement from friends I created, what I thought to be a temporary account name then (afraid of commitment to identify as an artist) Fast forward to few years later, inconsistent posts, an evolving voice in art, more consistent practice, a studio to grow in, and opportunities to explore a variety of new art experiences. Hi, hello! I’m Leilani.

lei, meaning 'flower' and lani, meaning 'sky',

I am a visual artist and designer by trade.. I love ART & DESIGN, color theory, art history, the whole kit and caboodle. I am color enthusiast influenced by movement and expressionism.

My goal is to connect with the human spirit and spread joy through my art exploration. I usually don’t know what I’m painting until the brush hits the canvas. This creates a sense of freedom to play, explore and experiment techniques. (less pressure more fun!) I studied art and practiced traditionally for many years but I find myself painting more expressively and intuitively.

I’ve been an artist my entire life and fell in love with painting a young age. Like many of my peers, I went to art school to pursue conventional outlets in the design world (hello! graphic design and marketing!) but I often gravitated toward traditional mediums. The humanness that is present in traditional formats are unmatched,
